Taliesin, The Frank Lloyd Wright Shelter Project Film

It was during the summer of 2005 that I received a call from my friend Trevor Pan. He said "Jon, I'm building a shelter in the desert, wanna help?" It sounded like an adventure that I didn't want to miss. I packed up my camera and headed to Taliesin West, the summer home of Frank Lloyd Wright, located in the unspoiled desert outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. During the month that I spent living in the desert and helping trevor pour concrete, I also began interviewing some of the remaining apprentices to Frank Lloyd Wright. Since that inspirational summer I have interviewed more than 20 of the apprentices to Mr. Wright. It was my own learn-by-doing adventure in documentary filmmaking. Now many years later, I am getting around to cutting short films from those interviews and the experiences I've had at both Taliesin West in Arizona and Taliesin, the original home of Mr. Wright, in Spring Green Wisconsin.

Here I present to you "Taliesin, The Frank Lloyd Wright Shelter Project"
